This product includes 15 pages of syllable division hearts to go along with the teaching of syllable division types. The activities require students to underline the consonants and vowels, label the syllable type, and divide and read the multisyllabic words. Concepts included on the hearts are open and closed syllables, beginning and ending blends, vowel-consonant e, vowel teams (ee, ea, ai, ay, oa, oe), r-controlled vowels, and consonant -le. This is a perfect phonics activity to use in February or for Valentine's Day!
This resource could be used for guided practice, class independent work, or homework. This can be a great supplemental activity packet for Orton Gillingham, Wilson, or Fundations lessons!
